Government contractors

Protecting government data in Prince George's County

If your contracts include CMMC or DFARS requirements, we handle the CMMC remediation work: putting the controls in place, running them day to day and keeping the evidence. We also reimage computers that have held Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and retire old equipment with drives sanitized following NIST SP 800-88.

Our work supports your compliance program. It doesn't guarantee compliance, certification or audit results.

How switching works

Build it. Manage it. Prove it.

Build it

We start by documenting what you have: devices, network, accounts, licenses and backups. Then we fix the urgent gaps first, including MFA on every account, admin and email accounts included.

Manage it

Your team calls or emails one help desk. Every managed device is patched monthly, monitored and backed up.

Prove it

You see the work. We send monthly patch reports, and every quarter we walk through your backup reports and restore-test results with you in a technology business review.

Onsite in Prince George's County

Onsite support from our Waldorf office

We serve Upper Marlboro, Clinton, Bowie, Largo, Greenbelt and Laurel from our Waldorf office, and two hours of travel is included with every onsite visit. Most problems we fix remotely; when it needs a person at your desk, we come to you.

Your support comes from ITAssurance staff. Outside our office hours (8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday), call our after-hours number and leave a message. It goes to our on-call technician.

Local resources

Internet providers

Federal broadband data (FCC, December 2025) for Bowie shows Verizon fiber across most of the area, Xfinity cable almost everywhere, plus fixed wireless from T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon and Believe and satellite from Starlink. Coverage varies across the county, so check your own address. If your phones and cloud apps depend on one connection, a second connection from a different provider can take over when the first one drops. We recommend a backup internet connection for most offices, and we set it up and manage it for you.

Power outages

Most of Prince George's County is served by Pepco, with BGE and SMECO in parts of it. Report Pepco outages at 877-737-2662 (pepco.com), BGE at 877-778-2222 and SMECO at 877-747-6326. A battery backup (UPS) on your firewall, network switches and server keeps a short flicker from taking your whole office offline. After a long outage, check that last night's backup actually ran; for our managed clients, we check.

Retiring old computers

The county's electronics drop-off in Upper Marlboro takes non-commercial loads only, and the county asks businesses to call PGC311 for options, so business equipment usually goes to a commercial recycler. Before any computer leaves your office, its drive should be wiped or destroyed. Or we can handle it for you: we preserve the data you need to keep, sanitize or destroy the drives following NIST SP 800-88 (the federal guideline for media sanitization), recycle the equipment and give you a data destruction certificate. We also reimage computers that have held Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) for government contractors.

Moving or opening an office

Internet, phones, cabling and moving every computer can take weeks to line up, so start early. See our IT office relocation services.
